Except for what seems to be a fettish for profanity Letters From a Killer is an excellent movie. Patrick Swayze once again stars in a great movie. Does he ever make a bad one?
The plot of the movie is simple enough. An innocent man on death row for the murder of his wife writing four women who each think they are the only one. A hateful prison guard switches the taped letters one evening and Patrick begins receiving threats from one of the jilted 'lovers'.
An interesting plot turn takes place when, because of evidence that was withheld by prosecutors during his first trial, he is granted a new trial. The movie runs quickly through the trial and Patrick is found innocent. Then the action really begins.
Trying to find the one making the threats he sets off to contact each of the women he was writing to. However, after each one is contacted they are found dead. Killed in the same manner of his wife! A massive man hunt ensues as officials try to trap him and he tries to find the true killer.
Two more massive plot twists occur as the movie reaches it's ironic yet dramatic conclusion.
