I am a Trekie... and am proud of it. I thought this movie was excellent and you will too if you have enjoyed StarTrek and other sci-fi action.
I took my 12 year old and though he said he enjoyed it...I was laughing up a storm. The way they mixed both the Trek series, it's real life actors, and the books written about the conflicts was totally entertaining and non-predictable. The parents in the theater where laughing so hard the kids where "shooshing" them.
Tim Allen was great. As the commander with ego issues he drew us all into the adventure (THANK YOU TIM!). I was so glad to see Sigourney Weaver in this role that was done in total style and at times in the strength of here Alien roles. She almost stole the movie from Tim Allen (especially with her new and improved body... what a looker!).
This was an entertaining movie for the young sci-fi'ers but was truly for the adults raised on StarTrek. Fantastic special effects !! Big thumbs up!! You have to see it!
