There are so many epinions about this movie, but after watching it for the umpteenth time, I find the need to add my two cents!
First of all, I am not really a Julia Roberts fan, but after this movie, I'm going to have to rethink my opinion of her. She was excellent in this role and I honestly can't think of another actress who might have been able to pull off this role better than Julia. She really deserves recognition for her work here.
Albert Finney also stars in this movie and does an excellent job. He had some really great scenes and we really enjoyed the bantering between the him and Julia Roberts. I don't wish to tell the story of the movie because you really HAVE to see it! I do want to say that there is a lot of sexual innuendo in this movie, but without it, I don't feel the story could have been told as well. There is no nudity but a lot of cleavage!
Although this movie is rated R and is just over two hours long, my husband and I sat down to watch this movie with our three children, ages 9, 10 and 12. The children were very interested in watching "that lady get that company for what they did to all those people!" The movie held their attention and they seemed mesmerized by what was going on. My daughters are thoroughly convinced after watching it that they can do whatever they want--if they try hard enough! (Not that I haven't been trying to teach them this their entire lives!) If for no other reason that that, I'm really glad that we let them watch it with us.
This movie is a must see for every person that is or has been down on their luck and believes there's no way up!
