Here we go, I'm gonna tell you the whole plot of the movie. If you dont want to know how sad and boring this movie was then dont read any further. This the back button and pick a different review.
I thought this flick would have something to do with conquering a storm, and actaully providing some action. No such thing. The majority of the movie is about a bunch of old, overworked, underpayed, white trash Fishermen, who go out to sea and fish. Thats the majority of the movie. They go to sea and fish, they screw up when fishing, and then they all become happy when they catch some fish. WOW, how exciting. Then a stupid storm arrives, and wait, they are not in the storm, they are far from it. The stupid captain gets a weather report and a warning from a friend and yet goes into a hurricane??? The ship sinks and everyone DIES! Everyone dies?!?! I dont get it, it would have made sense if they actaully somehow survived and made a better life for themselves since they caught like 60k pounds of fish, but no, they all die.
This movie started out teaching us how to fish, then they caught fish, then they went into a storm and died. Okay, this movie is probably a "big time" insult to all the fisherman of the world by making them look like poor bastards with no brains.
