Ok, I don't have much time to see movies anymore. The only time I go is when my friends invite me. I don't usually take the initiative but after laughing hard at the trailer every time I saw it on TV I knew that I wanted to see Scary Movie. Plus having the best opening weekend ever for an R rated movie has to mean something.
The movie takes the already well done parody theme and mixing it with the well done teen scary movie formula. I think seeing most of the teen scare movies definitely adds to the humor. The plot is just like the plot of any of the scream or I know what you did last summer movies. A lot of the jokes/scenes/characters are making fun of the teen scare film genre.
The idea isn't new and the humor isn't too original. The humor reminds me a lot of Naked Gun or Blazing Saddles. The jokes are predictable. Not all of the jokes are funny but most of the movie is hilarious. It's definitely a lot funnier than the Wayans Brothers canceled television show. The whole theater was laughing hard the whole time.

The movie was short, about an hour and an half. I noticed myself looking at my watch near the end of the movie but most of the time the pace of the movie is fast and I didn't have time to look at my wrist.
I think the Wayan Brothers have something going on here. What will they do next?
