My husband and I rented X-men this weekend, and I was surprised by how good it actually was.
I had actually seen a lot of the movie from the little clips on the Jay Leno show when the different stars were on his show.
This movie is based on the X-Men comic books, I cannot though tell you how it compares to the comic books as I have never read one in my life. Some people said you had to have read the comic books to understand the movie but that was untrue, the movie did a good job of explaining the whole situation.
The movie is about people who are mutents, these people have special powers such as, STORM- She can manipulate weather and make it do what she needs it to do at certain times, Professor Xavier can read minds and make people do what he wants, Rouge is a girl who if anyone touches her can drain there lives or if they are a mutant can borrow there power, Magneto has the ability to move metal, and Mystique can become any person that she chooses.
These are just a few of the charecter in the movie and they are called Mutants. Society does not want these people around and are afraid of them. They want mutants to register so the public knows who they are, of course they don't want to be known as people then do not want anything to do with them and make fun of them and try to hurt them.
There are good mutants and bad mutants in this film and it is a battle between good and evil.
The movie has some really good sound to it and great special effects. The ending is really spectacular and will leave you hanging onto your seat.
This is a great film to watch on a snow friday night when you have nothing to do.
