Obviously I don't have the same opinion about the movie (er, obviously if you read my own opinion about it anyway) but it's always good to see more proof that I really am just an easily irritated curmudgeon. ;)

I remember as a little girl reading X-men and wishing that I could look like Storm but have Jane's talents. Oh well. A girl can dream....

I'm curious about the Spider-Man movie as well. Tobey Maguire has just signed on to play Mr. Peter Parker. Well, if the movie flops, at least we have the back issues of Spider-Man to console ourselves with. Thanks for your comments.

Great point re: the transition over the years... I have all the original silver age comic origin issues, and many of the top 10 in the series with respect to each one. My favorite has always been "The Amazing Spiderman." I have the full run, from Amazing Fantasy #15 to about issue #300(?) I'm interested in seeing what they do w/ the movie version.
