Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
At first I wasn’t so sure that I really wanted to see this movie. I couldn’t tell you why but I just had the feeling that it wasn’t going to be a good one. But one day, a while after the movie was released. I was looking for movies to rent and I thought that maybe my son would like it so I broke down a rented it.
The Plot
Chicken Run, a claymation movie, takes place on a gloomy and dark chicken farm where the conditions seem to be horrible. At least it’s horrible to the poor chickens. Ginger is the leader of the group and dreams of escaping to a wonderfully green field that looms right on the horizon where the chickens will be free and won’t have to lay eggs on demand of the mean farmers, the Tweeties. They try and they try but none of their ideas have been successful.
One day, Rocky the Rhode Island Red, or Rocky Rhodes, comes crashing, literally into the farm yard. Ginger is overjoyed to see a chicken that can fly. This gives her the idea that Rocky will teach all of the chickens how to fly so that they can escape. Of coarse Rocky is reluctant but agrees. And this is where all the fun begins. Unfortunately, Rocky has a secret that he definitely doesn’t want the other chickens to find out.
