Hey, that rules! If I were you I'd have walked up there many a time just to say "Whoa, Jim Carrey and Renee Zellwegger performed right here." What a RUSH!
Take care (and don't fall in the water)

You know that scene where Irene falls into the river because Dickie shot off Hank's thumb? Well, that place was only two blocks away from where I live. Ain't it great?

More great quotes (Reply to this comment)
by Simply_Crispy
"So, what's your tale, Mother Goose?Where ya from?"
"Oh, all over."
"Omnipresence. I like that in a woman."
"Motherfucker! That Vince Foster was murdered!"
"Would you quit hacking into them Pentagon files. Never mind who that horny-assed President be killing. Just do your studying."
[after Hank has crapped on next doors lawn]
"Damn, do you think daddy's getting too much stress?"
"I think he's getting too much shredded wheat by the mothafuckin' look of it!"
I actually liked this film, a lot more than most people seem to. I dunno why it was trashed to bad on its release, for me it's a lot better than some of Carrey's other stuff. And damned if those Farrelly brothers can't write one-liners.

Disappointing review just because you left out a great quote!
"Oh, that! I wasn't gonna just... ram it home, you know. I was gonna lube it up and ease it in there, inch by inch, like a gentleman."
Obviously the funniest part of the movie. :-)
Great review, you did this movie justice.

I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but my favorite line comes in the deleted scenes where they continue the part where the sons make fun of Charlie's chin. I nearly wet myself when I saw that. Great review!

A very easy Very Helpful: by quoting the funniest lines, you have amused me even while relieving any tiniest last tremors of guilt about not going to see the movie. Thanks much!

Me, Myself & My Jesus Christ Pose (Reply to this comment)
by mfunk75
Pill-
A mediocre backstory unfolds involving Irene's ex-boyfriend Dickie, who "has the police in his back pocket", and his cohort, Lt. Gerke, played by Chris Cornell.
Good to see former Soundgarden frontman and currentl Audioslave yelper Cornell finally following up on the cameo he had in Singles. Does he take his shirt off in this once?
(Jokes
you correctly identify Chris Cooper later on, but the dichotomy of Cornell duking it out with Carrey just struck me as terribly funny. Otherwise a great review)

You've convinced me....gotta see the deleted scenes now!! Jim Carrey can contort his face like no-one else...I liked the scene at the police station after he takes his medicine and starts foaming at the mouth. My Mom would have said "If you keep doing that, your face is gonna freeze like that"...hahaha! Another great review, as always!!
Have a great weekend!...and know that I love you!

"MOTHERF*CKING ROBOT! MOTHERF*CKING ROBOT! MOTHERF*CKING ROBOT!" (The Dwarves). Jim Carrey's got good taste in music. "Whoa, whoa, whoa".

When I first saw this film I didn't really like it - but after having it force fed to me by HBO I sort of had a new found respect for it. The best parts in my opinion are the interactions between Charlie and his sons.
Great review as always :]

I can take Jim Carrey - (Reply to this comment)
by Granniemose
or leave him alone. Sometimes he is really funny with a natural bent for humor - other times he is simply dumb (aka Jerry Lewis type comedy) and not really funny.
This one, though, sounds like a winner - and I will ask Jude to look for it at Blockbuster. I would really like to see it. Great review, as always.
