julie42's Full Review: Yoga Zone - Yoga for Weight Loss
Plot Details: This opinion reveals no details about the movie's plot.
The video that I am referring to has the same name but a different cover. I'm not sure if they mistakenly put the wrong picture on Epinions, or if there are two Yoga for Weight-losses out there.
I'm chubby. I admit it. I like McDonald's as much as anyone else. I love to sleep in. You know what I wanted to start Yoga? Because to me it looked like I could do it, lose weight and BE LAZY!!!
Fast foods.
When I started this video, I still loved fast food restaurants. Anything would do. Continuing with the video, my appetite decreased, and naturally, without any will (seriously, I know it sounds strange) my desire for "bad" foods diminished. All that talk about becoming one with the earth, and my spine reaching for the sky, I guess it made me feel more pure. And feeling so pure, I wanted to put better things in my body. Don't get me wrong, I still love hamburgers, I just don't get so many cravings. There isn't much information about food on this video, but I thought I would mention this side effect.
Sleep in?
Beware! If you love to sleep in, don't start Yoga! I used to be the kind of person that wakes up 20 minutes before work (when the drive is 30 minutes!) ... I would have to set my alarm clock a half hour fast, just so I could fool myself into getting up at a half decent start time. Now, as soon as the alarm clock rings, I'm out of bed, and stretching. I don't mean to say that Yoga will change your life forever (smile) but for me, it's a huge noticeable difference. Now, I find myself waking up at least an hour and a half before work, so I can stretch. This is another side effect the video didn't mention, but I'll happily take! I also don't need nearly as much sleep!
Go Slow!
You will not be able to do all (or possibly any!) of the difficult postures right away. Go slow, go at your own pace. The main benefit of this video is that it has four women (normal looking women too - at the same weights and curves as most women!) and four different work outs. You don't have to constantly squint for the person you are following, it just shows your leader on the screen.
All in all...
Okay, I was wrong. I'm sure I am going to get a lot of nasty hate mail for saying that I thought Yoga was for lazy people. So YOGA IS NOT FOR LAZY people! It gives you energy, actually. And if you think I'm wrong, and you think this Epinion is incorrect, try it yourself for a week, and then please come back and re-rate!
Thanks for the visit! Be sure to leave a comment or a rating, so I can see who visited me!
