Just a horrible movie straight up. Just about everything seemed fake, and this was the combination of everything movie goers hate about horror/suspense movies. You could not tell between the purposeful bad acting in the fake "thesis films" and the movie.
All you need to know about this movie is that it is set at a film school full of whiney film students. The occurrences were too fake for even a movie. Furthermore, all the general simlarities of the most horrible horror movies were applied to make this movie. For example, this movie was full of an alone girl walking by herself at night, people being stupid, murders that no one knows about, and only a main character who knows people are dying. Even worse than that was the use of a deceased character's identical twin.
There was one pretty good part, but I wouldn't recommend paying to see this movie so I shall describe it to you. A girl is at a bar with her boyfriend. Someone slips her some powdered drug in her drink. She gets up to leave, and while getting her coat someone attacks her. Next thing, she wakes up in a bath tub of ice... kidneys on the table next to her.
I cannot stress enough how fake this movie was. It is not like a sci-fi film where you can suspend your disbelief for the sake of entertainment. Like most "scary movies" UL: Final Cut tries to appeal to reality, and like most "scary movies" this one fails miserably. Leaving the theatre, I heard at least five different groups talking about getting their money back. This movie was nothing but a disappointment.
