The movie truly lives up to its name, for various reasons. A good story line, very good humor, superb direction and great cast.
Elliot Richards (Brendan Fraser), is a lonely computer professional based in San Francisco. He is a so called victim of ridicule and boredom. Just about when he is dejected with his attempts of wooing lady love, Alison Gardener (Frances O'Connor), Ms. Devil (Elizabeth Hurley), comes his way and makes him an interesting proposition, seven wishes in return for his soul.
The seven wishes bring seven different lives to Elliot, with each wish making him wiser. His last wish takes a sudden turn in the movie thus determining the moral of the story.
"Bedazzled" is out-right hilarious and completely entertaining. The dialogues are to die for. Liz Hurley is beautiful, and her impressive british accent makes her even more suave. Frances O'Connor does a good job at her own seven different roles (well actually is 6 + a bonus), when you see the movie, you'd know what I'm talking about. Brendan Fraser is versatile and delivers a fabulous performance.
Its a tad bit late to watch it in the theatres since its almost gone. But if you get a chance, make sure you catch it, and I'll make sure I set my alerts when its available on video/dvd.
