Itztommy's Full Review: How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The Grinch
Fabulous!!! Doesn't it seem like such a simple story? The Grinch tries to keep Christmas from the people of Whoville, only to realize that the spirit goes much deeper than tinsel and toys. My girlfriend and I just saw this film over the weekend. It was excellent. Jim Carrey is the bitter, green Grinch who tries to steal Christmas from the happy Whos, who incessantly irritate him with their joyous caroling and holiday cheer. He has to be the funniest guy ever. He can make the best faces and moves. The only real bummer about the movie was, there were a ton of kids in the movie. All screaming, and at the other fun stuff. I really didn't think this movie would be this good.
Inside a snowflake, high atop Mt. Crumpit, just north of town, a certain cave-dwelling curmudgeon peers down on the Christmas-adoring Whos of Whoville as they make their frantic reparations. I think that the cast really did a good job on the other people as well. There make-up and costumes were great!
But ultimately, these two kindred spirits searching for just one thing meaningful from the holiday, and the other unearthing a part of his soul long ago buried and forgotten come together, and collectively learn the true meaning of Christmas.
The timeless celebration of the spirit of the holidays comes home as acclaimed director Ron Howard and Jim Carrey bring Dr. Seuss beloved tale to life...More at Buy.com Marketplaces
