Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie''s plot.
I'm not plagiarizing, I'm simply agreeing with some of what Alkaiser spoke of when he said this:
The plot makes no sense...it goes nowhere, and in the end it resolves nothing, but kills off Ryu's mystery brother. The animation is nice, but it's a complete waste because 75% of the movie is comprised of the characters powering up and just glowing.
The movie could've been way better than this. The animation, fight scenes and voice acting is pretty good. Tis' the story that scarred this movie. Miscues are rampant. Miscues like the fact that that scientist guy doesn't look remotely familiar; he should've been left out. I guess they TRIED to make this a prequel to Street Fighter 2. Noble idea, but alas, questionable execution. This movie doesn't suck, but as a fan of the series, I can't help but to think that this movie doesn't live up to it's potential.
They should've focused on the fights. The early stages of the lovers quarrel between Ryu and Sagat would've been a start. Akuma's role was okay, but not as vital or instrumental as it could've been.
