Thanks. This review just gave me my first "laughing out loud" moment in over a week.

I'm VERY sure Alice mentioned the that the eating the sesame seeds would trigger an allergic reaction that could very well KILL our friend Milo.
This is what I like to call 'clever foreshadowing.' I learned about foreshadowing in high school.

I have seen this movie. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it as much as you did. But, you pointed out a few things that I somehow missed when I watched it. Maybe I zoned out for a bit.
And I remember Alice slapping the roll away from Milo and talking about the seasame seeds and his allergy. I know you didn't make that up. I trust you - even though I don't always agree with your thoughts on a movie - and I will continue to do so.

You're kidding me, right? You're actually defending the moronic screenplay of this awful movie? OK, enjoy!

P.S. Thanks for reading.

Mistake (Reply to this comment)
by littlelady96
I made a small mistake on my last comment. Alice did mention sesame seeds. But she still made no mention of Milo being deathly allergic.

The same movie? (Reply to this comment)
by littlelady96
Did we watch the same movie? I just watched it last night and the scene in the restaurant is still fresh in my mind. Alice only slapped the roll away and asked the waiter to take it. There was never any mention of sesame seeds or allergies or death. Maybe she could have been worried about the fat content in the roll and what that would do to Milo's figure. If you are going to quote movie lines, maybe you should quote the actual line instead of making up your own. This gives a totally false sense of bad script writing. How can you be a trusted if you make things up.

Re: good to see you back (Reply to this comment)

I went to see ISHTAR with my best friend and his girl friend. He's the type of guy who tries to make the best of any situation. Right before the credits rolled, she leaned over to me and whispered "What do you want to bet Bryan will say 'It wasn't so bad." As the lights came on and we stood up (to flee) he said exactly those words. Of course, he couldn't understand why the two of us laughed harder after that then we did at any point in the movie.

good to see you back (Reply to this comment)

Scott,
I thought that this movie looked decent in the trailers - but so did Ishtar to some people (although most of them have died off due to suffocation by plastic bags and eating the "DO NOT EAT" Silica bags). Great review showing the ineptness of this movie - I can avoid it now and thank you later.
Well, I had better finish this comment before the New Epinions cuts me--
