Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
A sweet tear wrenching and heart breaking romantic movie. Especially if you know someone that has cancer. Take that special someone to see this one. It will bring you closer together. After this movie you look at her in a little different light. You should take the advice that this movie sends out. Remember her always and try to remember the good times that you have had with her.
This movie is about an egotistical tight wad and a workaholic. Keanu Reeves acting is superb, and Charlize Theron's chemistry together turns up the heat in any room. He never has time for his girlfriend or anything as a matter a fact. He ends up losing sight of both his girlfriend and losing his job. He also causes havoc in this other girls life by causing her not to be able to take a driving test. Which she needs for her job. Then he tries to buy her off of his conscience by giving her money, but she doesn't take it. She ends up showing up at his apartment and tries to embarrass him into giving her a ride. So he ends up having to give her a ride home just to stop her from doing this.
She makes him an offer that he can't lose. Seeing that he has already lost everything anyway what has he got to lose. She has offered him that she can change him in thirty days, but he has to do everything that she says. That means no work of any kind and he has to stay there and live with her.
Well, he accepts her offer and in doing this he starts to fall in love with her. That is when he starts to notice that she is sick, but he does not find out right away. The love that he carries for her is very commendable, but that is why she only has thirty day commitments between guys. She wants them to remember her the way she was not the sickness that she has.
There is a little bit of comedy in this one just to lighten things up a bit. A little bit of jealousy involved also, plus some real sad parts. Especially when he does find out that she is sick and has to take all of that medicine. Then she ends up in the hospital. He then sees the hospital side of things which in turn starts to break his heart. Now he does not know what to do he is so confused. He gets thrown out by her and is asked to leave. This gives him a lot of time to think things over.
On the other hand she also has fallen in love with him, but she has a problem dealing with this because this has never happened before. She liked all the other guys, but now she loves this one. She doesn't want him to remember her with all this sickness. She wants him to remember her with all the good times that they had.
Take your girlfriend to see this one. It is a real heart breaker. You will be holding hands during the whole movie. You will probably see a few tears run down her face during this movie. After this movie is over take your date out and get her a rose and hold onto her for as long as you can. You may never know when that sickness will strike. Cancer always wins. Give her a big passionate kisses and make love to her as you have never done before. Then just lie there and hold her all night long. Turn on some soft music and never let her go. Don't do this just one time, do this every night for the rest of your lives. That way you will have a lifetime of memories to go on.
I Think that everyone should see this movie. It will open your eyes, that someday your loved one will go away. If this ever does happen try to remember them the way they would have wanted to be remembered. If you are lucky you will find that Sweet November, in the same way that I think that I have found mine, but you can call mine Sweet February.
