Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie's plot.
What does "The Joe Review" mean? 2 things: 1. I'm extremely pompous and actually believe that something named after me means something :). 2. If you read a Joe Review you will be reading a review that doesn't repeat the same things the other 10 to 30 reviewers have already said. You're just going to find out whether or not I liked it and why or why not.
This movie was not in any way, shape, or form worth the $5 or $6 or, in my case, $7.50 it cost to see it in the theater. Tell me if any of these don't sound familiar: 2 rivals at the head of the racing class, one rookie one veteran, the veteran dumps his girl and the rookie hits on her which heats up their professional rivalry, a veteran is hired to help out the rookie who is feeling pressure, all hell breaks loose as the rookie can't handle the pressure of being pulled in 100 directions.
Anything in that above list you've never seen before? Me neither. The only real innovation in this movie was that with computer graphics and stuff the crash scenes were more realistic than they've been in the past.
Keep in mind that I'm not a racing fan, so my opinion is somewhat biased. Racing fans might like this movie. But my recommendation to the general moviegoer is to wait for it to come out in the dollar theater - it's not worth the full price.
