This was a great action film. The opening explosion was excellent piece of cinematography. The story and acting were excellent.

There is some great directing and cinematography in this film. The opening explosions was a beautiful piece of cinematographic work. It was a great slow down scene. Its probably the best scene in the film. There are some other great action scenes such as the bus chase at the end.

The acting was great. Berry played her character very well. Jackman was perfect as the ex-con, computer hacker who just wanted to get his daughter back. It seems his crime was committed while trying to protect the public from the government. Travolta plays the most excellent bad guy. He plays the role so convincingly.

The story starts with an ex-hacker who will go back to jail if he touches a computer. He desperately wants to get his daughter away from his porn making ex-wife and her husband. He has a dead end job that will take him no where. He is approached by Berry's character who will give him 100,000 to meet her boss. He accepts. Then things get really interesting. Her Boss, Travolta's Character, offers him ten million dollars to create a worm that will allow Travolta's character to steal 9 billion dollars from the government. Travolta's character wants to use the money to target terrorists who target Americans. Although, he is a terriorist himself, willing to do whatever necessary to achieve his goal. It is refreshing to have a bad guy whom is total bad. He has no softside and makes no concessions, but he is not a random killer everything has a purpose. He has contacts in the government and throughout the film things are not what they seem to be. The movie takes many twists, but not so many that you become lost. There is a lot of Cyber talk, but it is not necessary that you understand it to be able to follow the movie.

This is probably the best action film that I have seen so far this year. Its better that Tomb Raider or Mummy II. This is one you do not want to miss on the theater. That opening scene will not be the same at home on the TV.
