Ebert & Roeper reviewed it on their show about four weeks ago, and I have been waiting for it patiently ever since. I live in a suburb of San Francisco, so maybe I get more Hong Kong films than other areas, but I thought this was a major release. I mean Ebert reviewed it on their show, it is from a major international director, and has excellent summer action scenes. Yet, I have the first epinion about it, and my local theater is only keeping it for one week total.
All I can assume is that they intended for it to have a huge release, but then the execs realized how confusing it is, and figured to give it limited showings.

I consider myself to be a fairly well-informed HK movie buff...yet, I have never heard of this movie. Hopefully, I will get to check it out...if I'm lucky. Tsui Hark is one of my favorite filmmakers from the Far East.
