As a long time Final fantasy RPG fan, I could not wait for this movie to come out. I did not expect to see a version of the RPG series, but I believe that there should have been something in the movie that FF RPG fans could have related to , other than a guy named Cid being in the movie.

The CG was the best that I have ever seen and the detail of the hair and skin was outstanding, but the animators could not get the lower lip on the characters right, and at times, it was annoying.

I can't bash this movie because it was a great production in all technical terms and far surpasses anything created before. The technological advances made were well worth the four years and one hundred seventeen million dollars that it took to make.(considering other expensive movies like Water world and The Mask).

So called professional movie critics were touting the lead character "AKI" as being seductive and sexy, and that they could possibly see her in other movies down the road. They had to be joking. To me, she was the least impressive thing in the movie, and thought she kind of looked like a guy in certain parts of the movie.

I don't want to give away things in the movie because I think you will be amazed by most of it, but don't expect too much excitement and don't rack your brain trying to figure out the whole story line. That would take away from you being able to enjoy the graphical beauty of this movie.

Keep in mind that this was Squaresoft and Sonys first attempt at this type of feature length film. There will be more to come from them and I believe that the next attempts will improve dramatically.

As a note: there is only one curse word in this movie.

This Fantasy is not Final. A definite must see.
