Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
Care for another romp in the Park? Jurassic Park that is.
Jurassic Park, the original was stunning and orignal. It was packed with action, suspense and well.. those incredible dinosaurs.
Jurassic Park II (The Lost World) was minus most of the stars of the first movie. However still managed to drag a decent amount of action and story. It paled badly compared to the original.
When you have a solid 4 star movie for the first movie, and a 2.5 star as its first sequel you have very serious concerns about the value/content of a third installment.
Rest assured, it was a wise and well done thing to keep Jurassic III short and entertaining.
It was somewhat predicable, which is a bad thing.
At some points I was thinking the opening scene should have been sub-titled 'What parents should NOT allow their kids to do' (specificly how 'the kid' ends up stuck on the island, and causes the rest of the movie to rescue him)
The Kid is made out to be a little smarter than he should have been, but I suppose it was written as such to make it more apealing to the younger audiences.
The special effects are beautiful, the sound roars as expected, and its always good to see the original stars back in their J1 roles.
I myself watched it in the theater having had a free ticket (via purchase of the 2 disc DVD collector set of J1 and J2)
Those without said ticket (which the offer has expired now anyway) will pay $3.75 to $8.00 average to get in.
Having been released almost a month ago, it'll be hitting the dollar theaters soon.
With a fresh director, it was worth 90 some minutes of my time.
