Pros: hilarious, original, spoofy, many unexpected big names
Cons: unnecessarily disgusting in some parts, Natasha Lyonne's face is covered with makeup
The Bottom Line: Did I mention that if you don't like unnecessarily gross movies involving flatulence and bodily excrements, don't go see this movie? Other than that it's great!
Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
Tired of that stupid paragraph I put at the beginning of every $#@&$*(#@ review? Good! You're not going to see it anymore.
If you don't like unnecessarily gross movies involving flatulence and bodily excrements, don't go see this movie.
This movie does a great job of picking up where the other one left off. What's weird is characters who were killed in the first movie somehow manage to return! Cindy, Ray, Shorty, and Ray's "girlfriend" (I keep forgetting her name) are all back, joined by such unexpected co-stars as Chris Elliot, Tim Curry, Richard Moll (Bull from Night Court) and Tori Spelling. I don't want to blow too much of the plot, but they're in college now, a la the transition from Scream to Scream 2 (and ISKWYDLS to ISKWYDLS 2 if I remember), and they get lured out to a house to do a sleep study a la the Haunting and a bunch of funny stuff happens.
If you don't like unnecessarily gross movies involving flatulence and bodily excrements, don't go see this movie.
Exorcist, the Haunting, What Lies Beneath, Dude! Where's my car?, Charlie's Angels, The Matrix, and Ghostbusters are some of the movies mocked. And what's great about this movie is the movies are mocked originally and intelligently - it's not just "Hey, did you know that if we split up the killer will pick us off one by one?" - the mockings are very creative.
If you don't like unnecessarily gross movies involving flatulence and bodily excrements, don't go see this movie.
I don't want to give away specific examples because quite frankly the less you know about this movie the more you'll like it. It's funny and original, the perfect movie to go see after a hard tiring week of work.
