HOLLYWOOD GOT ONE RIGHT!!!!!!

I'm telling you people, I walked out of that theater STUNNED! I've worked about 180 hours the last 3 weeks and I specifically chose this movie to go see last night because I thought it would be a low-grade humor dumb blonde movie that required absolutely no intelligence whatsoever to watch, a la when I used to watch Beavis and Butthead in college every night at 11pm after about 5 hours of studying Physics and partial differential equations. You will not BELIEVE what a great movie this is.

As the previews suggest, an apparent dumb blonde Witherspoon joins Harvard law and then a bunch of funny things happen. But it's not just the dumb blonde movie you would expect, read on:

One great thing I will say about this movie is that in addition to being a comedy, it does a great job of ridiculing morons who judge people for what they look like, and for snotty superior-feeling people in general. And it's done in an intelligent, realistic way, not like Animal House where they drive the cake that says "Eat Me" and crash a parade. If you like movies where snooty people get their genitals handed to them (not literally, don't worry!) you'll love it.

In addition, the contrast in "culture shock" between happy bubbly sorority girls like Witherspoon's character and the snooty law students could not have been magnified any better.

The only negative (other than Reese's chin!!!) is there was a scene at the end that was really stupid, they spend the entire movie building up to this one part at the end and then the resolution was really lame.

The less I specifically tell you the more you'll enjoy the movie - the surprises and the intelligence of the sub-plots, woven into the main story with great jokes, are what really set this movie head and shoulders above every other movie out there. I'm just going to ask you to trust me here - this is one of the 3 best movies of the year EASILY.

Oh one more thing - when a guy hears that a new Reese Witherspoon movie is out there's one thing he wants to know - and the answer is YES - there are several gratuitous body, bikini and buttshots of the star in this movie! (And DANG does she look good!!!)

So see my bottom line for the summary - GO SEE THIS MOVIE - you will NOT be disappointed!!!
