DOES THE WOOD HAVE TERMITES? (Reply to this comment)

What? You mean I don't agree with THE WOOD?This is a rarity. My wife,my four year old and I went to see this movie and we all enjoyed it.I didn't think it was that gross. For a movie about a gross guy and the inside of his body I thought it was pretty tame.It had my son asking questions about germs.I heard no foul language in this film marketed to kids. That's more than I can say for Sherk or Dr.Dolittle.

HAS THE WOOD GOT TERMITES (Reply to this comment)

What? You mean I disagree with THE WOOD?That is a rarity.I saw this movie with my wife and four year old and we all enjoyed it.I didn't think it was very gross considering it was a movie about a gross man and the inside of his body.It had my four year old asking questions about germs and when I caught him with his hands on the bottom of his shoes he asked me to take him to the bathroom to wash the germs off his hands.I heard no foul language in this movie that was marketed to kids which is more than I can say for Shrek and Dr.Dolittle.

Hi Dan,

The trailers for this movie have never looked anything but disgusting. It's good to know I was right. Thanks.

Bill Murray and Chris Elliot both unfunny - it must be a bad movie to make two such funny actors appear anything but! Strange for the Farrley brothers, but the whole premise of this movie sounds like something I wouldn't particularly enjoy and your description of the zit scene confirms it for me. Hmmm. American Pie 2 is better - eh? I might have to give it a shot when it makes it to video.

the trailer, I thought to myself, "they're actually making a movie about the germs inside some guy's nose?" How gross is that? And how stupid? Have we reached the bottom of the idea barrel yet? I guess the Farrelly's have bumped it?

Thanks for the warning, and a nice job reviewing. I heard "The Others" was wonderful from other sources too.

Thanks a lot Dan, you just made me feel completely queasy. I think that I'm gonna be sick...

Well, you got your wish: I am indeed feeling very ill just by reading your description of this apparently disgusting flick. And to think that this film has received a PG rating???

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I especially enjoyed how you centered much of your review on how disgusting Bill Murray's zit is. You definitely showed your audacity by describing every graphic detail of Bill Murray's zit and how it disgustingly explodes, with the bits and pieces landing inside Molly Shannon's mouth. (Yuck!)

I also enjoyed reading your comaparisons of the "money shots" in this film and There's Something About Mary. Eeeewwww...you have certainly made my night.

Splendid job.

So Sorry (Reply to this comment)

This is the exact reason I have never found Murray to be funny, nor do I enjoy the slap-stick kind of comedy he usually 'stars' in. The one exception - I made it through MOST of Groundhog Day.

I thought the trailers for the movie were ridiculous and I'm sorry you had to watch it - at least you had Kidman to soften the blow!

Thanks for the warning
