You got me there, Steve. You're right. I'ts just when a potential audience sees "... in French, Serbo-Croatian, and English with English subtitles" they tend to be turned off. The other films you mentioned also had a large head of steam behind them in their advertising. That's why this baby needs a general release, then the great unwashed will tempted to go see it--which they must--whereupon the filmmakers will make enough dough for their next production.

American ethnocentrism is insurmountable, though "Il Postino," "Life Is Beautiful," and "Crouching Tiger" got relatively large audiences and some Hong Kong masters have drawn numbers of monolingual English-speaking viewers. But quite a bit of "No Man's Land" including the most chilling stuff is in English. Isn't that a selling point?
