Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
I went to see this movie because it was G rated and I have a 4 year old. It is really difficult to find a G rated movie these days that is not animated.
The story is about a 10 year old bear who was raised by a human family since he was an infant. After realizing he was different than the members of his human family he went out in search of a group of bears who at one time were country musicians( The Country Bears).
When he arrived at the Country Bear Hall he discovered to his dismay that the Country Bear hall was to be demolished .
He convinced a member of the former group to get the band back together for a benefit concert to save the hall.
I realize that movies that appeal to my 4 year old do not always appeal to me. If my daughter enjoyed it I would have said it was worth the investment. It however, did not even appeal to her. I spent a great deal of the movie asking her to sit still.
The movie was slow to develop, it had a poor plot, and although it had its funny moments was pretty dull.
I wish I would have taken the price of 3 admission tickets plus popcorn and taken the kids to Chuckie Cheese, we would have had a better time.
