Thank you, Macey!

I think that to call H3 a terrible movie is an insult to terrible movies galaxy-wide! (No offense to my good buddy, Bruguru, of course!)

I appreciate your words, ratings, and kindred spirit!

You actually LIKED the 3rd one?

Maybe it's all those brews you sample! LOL

I think you'll enjoy both H20 and Resurrection immensely and thanks for your kind words and generous rating.

Now which beer goes best with decapitation?

I concur, Virginia!

There has never been a man so in tune with the pulse of horror as Hitchcock!

I thank you, as always, for your ratings and comments. They my every review complete!

Thanks, Toni!

I thought that line may have been too silly, but I dug it so it stayed!

Maybe we should collaborate on that movie! There is certainly enough of a market!

I'm working on my wimpiness!

I'm up to three shots from a .22 and a kick in the bojangles.

"Halloween 3 was a cinematic travesty and should never have been permitted to bear the Halloween name..."

Hear, hear!!! H3 was an absolute disgrace!!! Sorry, I just had to say that b/c I'm glad to see so many other people agreeing. Good review.

I loved the first two, and yes, I liked the third! I haven't seen H20 yet, but I think I'll rent it now and then go see this one. Thanks to your splendid review, of course!

Cheers!

a truly great review, Mother. It is not only horror movies that suffer from the insertion of modern music and insertions of characters that just don't belong in that genre. I think a good many movies of today suffer from misapplied generalizations and plotting that doesn't apply to average American life any more then Leave it to Beaver did. Witness American Pie - or for that matter, American Rose - or Eyes Wide Shut -
and many many other films. Hitchcock, come back. We need you.

That cracked me up! I am a complete wimp when it comes to horror movies, and your reviews allow me to live vicariously and not feel as though I am the only person in the US who doesn't know what is going on!

Halloween: Resurrection (Reply to this comment)
by shadow8
mothermeatloaf,

So you're telling me that Laurie Strode killed an innocent man wearing Mike Myer's mask in Halloween: H20, and then ends up being killed by Mike Myers himself in this movie. Oh man...they've really gone too far. I can't believe the filmmakers would kill off the truly likable character in this entire franchise early on in this movie.

On another topic, I remember seeing Halloween 2 and wonder myself how the hell does Mike Myers survived being shot in the eyes and then being immolated in an explosion. The filmmakers still never explained that... Well, I have to take your word for it; he regenerates like a starfish...!!!

I dunno about Halloween: Resurretion. While I'm glad to hear that you did like it and will recommend it, I'm still sitting on the fence over this film. I do plan to see it eventually; I'm just not sure if I should see it now in the theater or wait till it comes home on DVD or video. Sigh...so many tough decisions...

Michael Myers regenerates like a starfish ---now That is a good one!

I often wonder if Mike, Jason, and Freddy Kreugger could come together in a Super Slasher "Made-for-TV Movie. Ha!!

Great review, as usual! Take Care!

"A squirt of milk" (Reply to this comment)
by eskimo101
Great line! I'm all about eggy-weggs and milk squirts. And I am all about the original Halloween, but I have to say that my loyalty died with Michael Myers after the first. Unfortunately, while Michael made a full recovery, my loyalty struggled. I watched Halloween II and was somewhat disappointed. Then I watched part III. Wow, could have been the worst movie ever made. I'm just thankful that all of these years later, I finally got that stupid song they played out of my head. But that was it. My loyalty, like PJ Soles in the first film, was dead. I didn't see H2O, but you were gracious enough to report the ending here, so I won't need to. And I hadn't planned to see this one either, but you're not the first person to give it a good review, so I may change my mind. If Michael Myers can be resurrected...

Nice job, Mother.
