Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
OK... I don't think I would even write one of these unless I thought all of the previous reviewers got too far off track...
The story is great. By all means I think it is helpful if you like rap music to enjoy it, but not necessary.
All characters were strong, except cheddar who was a bit too strong. Sol George (character) could have definitely had a bigger role. The x-girlfriend was explored thoroughly enough to know her role in disorganizing rabbit's life.
It's a sticks to the plot line, but did you expect this film to address global issues? Although the movie is left open ended; it definitely does not leave sequel on your tounge. The best movies or songs don't require sequels. They ask you to make what you will of what you saw/heard.
Although it is constantly moving, it does feel sluggish at points. There is a particular point where eminem is writing the lyrics to, Lose Yourself, (a liberally played radio hit) which never appears preformed; it has no place. It is odd placed within the movie, considering it is obviously a track involved in promoting the movie, and actually mentions Eminem. This had no place in the movie, and only forced me to be ready for the movie to end; which it wasn't. In retrospect those parts let you identify with identify with the life style (i.e. daily issues of the characters).
There are no plot twists, as previously commented; they aren't needed. This is not a watch it again, and again movie; though I probably will own it. It gives you a, anything can be accomplished feeling w/out feeling cheesy in the process.
There really isn't much negative to say
