_This_ weekend? I have seven more ready to go at a moment's notice... (Reply to this comment)

I thought the Quidditch match seemed less like an ad for a videogame and more of an actual story element. Nice to see people getting hurt in such a violent sport.

Every so often, we see that kids are smarter than anyone gives them credit for, if only their parents will shut up and leave them to their own devices...

I completely agree. This was a much better film than the Sorceror's Stone. Particularly enjoyed the racist subplot and the bludger run amok in Quidditch.

One thing I've noticed about the Potter films is that kids seem to shut up in them, unless their parents lean down to politely ask them questions, at which point the kids give short, clipped, WHISPERED answers, or even become irritated at such distractions from their uninformed heathen parentals.

When's the last time you saw Star Wars do that? Screw the religious nuts. This stuff's GOLD.

Good Write!
