It Was Alright in the Beginning

Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie's plot.
Family Guy was an okay show in the beginning, but has always been a raunchy show. Sometimes, I don't know what show's worse: South Park or Family Guy. In the plot of the show, there's this stupid guy name Peter Griffin who lives with his wife Lois, who's actually smarter than him. They live with their three kids Stewie, Chris and Meg and own an anthromorphic dog named Brian, who's revealed to be an atheist in later episodes. In the beginning episodes and all throughout the series, Stewie is determined to kill his mother Lois for absolutely no reason. Chris is just as stupid as his dad and gets poor grades to show for it. Meg is just another unpopular girl who's just so desperate on fitting in at school like so many other teenagers. Brian is just the talking dog of the family and tries to be the "voice of reason". Brian also develops feelings for Lois.
Peter's friends are no better than him. Quagmire's nothing but a sex addict, while his police officer friend Joe Swanson just feels sorry for himself because he's a paraplegic. Cleveland is just an average man who lives with his wife Loretta and their son. With all this being said, some of the episodes of Seasons 1&2 of Family Guy were funny. One of the funniest episodes of Family Guy was "Da Boom." In this episode, Peter warns his family as he prepares for Y2K. His family thinks he's wrong, but he turns out to be right when he forces them to wait in his homemade bomb shelter on New Years Eve. Once the clock struck midnight, the chaos that he was forewarned about from a man in a chicken suit comes to past. Another funy episode from the first season was "Death has a Shadow." In this episode, Peter gets fired from his job at the toy factory for falling asleep and producing defective toys. Peter in turn files for welfare so that his wife won't find out. Lois eventually finds out and becomes upset when she receives Peter's welfare check from the mail lady.
