Dear Don: I had not heard of UNCLE SADDAM. Your review makes it sound interesting.
The only thing which might be said in his favor is that the United States helped put him in power, maintained him in power, made use of him to maintain our balance of power in the Middle East, encouraged his excesses; and when it was convenient for us, we demonized him, turning him into a scapegoat, an excuse for our stepping off into Asia.
Very informative and well written.
