The third VHS tape in my Leslie Sansone set is the 1 mile walk. Since this is a shorter walk, Im going to attempt to make this a shorter review and include it in Sleeper54s Lean-n-Mean Write-off Two.

Get Up and Get Startedis the shortest tape of the three piece tape set with ab belt that I bought, at Wal*Mart for $24.88, to help me begin to get fit again.
The Tape
It starts with an explanation of the Walk Away Belt and then moves into a 15 minute one mile workout. The walk is designed to help you get started and begin to use your body again, without being too difficult to follow along.
Ive only used this tape a few times, usually when Ive done a 2 mile workout in the morning and want to add an additional workout at the end of the day. While it does raise the heart rate a bit, it isnt a long enough workout to really burn very many calories.
The warm up and cool down are just a few minutes to allow about 10 minutes of more vigorous marching, side steps, kicks and knee lifts. Using the belt and cords adds some upper body resistance, while helping to tone muscle.
The same seven walkers are included in this tape as in the 2 and 3 mile tapes. This time they are dressed in gray pants with lavender tops.
This tape is also done in a studio type atmosphere with hard wood floor, green carpeted steps behind and a few green potted plants. The light panels behind the walkers are a very soft lavender color.
The Belt
The belt with cords, is a 4 foot long, 2 inch wide black band that is wrapped around the waist and attaches with velcro. It has two blue rubber bands attached in the back with handles on the front. While not using the cords you simply tuck them in the front of the belt. As Ms. Sansone queues you, you use the cords along with your walking to push away, raise and lower over head, push over the head etc. The resistance helps with sculpting, toning and firming.
My Feelings
While I like to use this tape at times, since Ive been using walking tapes for almost four months now I find that this workout just isnt enough of a challenge to me.
It is a great tape for beginners or I also really appreciated it when I went through a bout of the flu and didnt want to start back to my exercise program too quickly. This tape helped me ease back in and work back up to the two and then three mile tapes.
