Background Info:
Buddy Jewell had been trying to become a country music star for over ten years. After winning Nashville Star, he became a huge success overnight. I have to admit he is fast becoming one of my favorite country music singers.
I have had the pleasure of hearing him twice in person. The first time I won a meet and greet through GAC. It was so exciting to meet him face to face. He was one of the nicest country music stars that I have ever met. He has such a wonderful personality and is just right down charming. After the concert I emailed him and told him how much I enjoyed his show. He wrote me back and thanked me for coming. I sure was impressed. The second time Ive gotten to hear him was last Sunday at the Joe Diffie and Friends concert. He was one of the singers on the program and did a wonderful job. He is great about getting the audience involved and has a really funny sense of humor.
With my ticket purchase I got a prize package of different items from a local radio station. One of the items that I got was the Buddy Jewell Help Pour Out the Rain (Laceys Song) DVD Video Single. I couldnt wait to pop it into my DVD player and see more of Buddy.

What You Can Expect to See:
The Video:
You will see the video to Buddys hit Help Pour Out the Rain. It is filmed outside and looks to be by a creek with trees around. You will see various clips of Buddy singing. There are some close ups of him and shows him singing by a tree. His daughter is wading in the creek. There is a piano outside in the middle of everything. You see 3 kids fishing in a pond, which are Buddys own children. It is nighttime when the song ends. Buddy and Lacey walk off together holding hands. It is really a sweet video for such a beautiful song.
If you havent heard the song you should hear it. Its really touching. Buddy wrote the song based on questions that his daughter Lacey asked him. The words are so special that I would like to include them here at the end of the review.
Behind the Scenes:
It shows Buddy when they announced that he was the Nashville Star winner. He talks about how he has sung over 4,000 demos and about his reaction to the Nashville Star win. He explains how he tried for 16 or 17 years to get a record deal and how it just all happened at once. He talks about working with Clint Black, who is the producer of his album. It shows scenes from practicing on his Help Pour Out the Rain song. Buddy tells how he is happy that 3 of the songs he has written were on the album. It also shows clips of him singing his I Wanna Thank Everyone song.

Photo Gallery:
This are has ten still shots of Buddy. The pictures are wonderful. There are some that are black and white and some are in color. There are close ups and full body pictures. There are some of a side view and some with his guitar. There are a good variety of different shots.
My Final Thoughts:
This DVD isnt long at all, maybe 10 minutes at the most. Any Buddy Jewell fan would enjoy watching it. I loved watching the different clips from when he won Nashville Star and hearing what he has to say about his success. I dont think this could have happened to a nicer person. I think he deserves the success that he has and I look for him to be a huge star one day. I think he will eventually be on the same level as Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw or Kenny Chesney. He has so much potential and is really good to his fans.
I love the video for Help Pour Out the Rain and am happy to have this DVD that I can watch anytime that I want.

Help Pour Out the Rain (Laceys Song) Written by Buddy Jewell
The moment was custom-made to order:
I was ridin' with my daughter on our way back from Monroe.
An' like children do, she started playin' twenty questions,
But I never could've guessed one would touch me to my soul.
She said: "Daddy, when we get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?
"Are we goin' there to visit, or are we goin' there to stay?
"Am I gonna see my Grandpa? Can I have a pair of wings?
"An' do you think that God could use another Angel,
"To help pour out the rain?"
Well, I won't lie: I pulled that car right over,
An' I sat there on the shoulder tryin' to dry my misty eyes.
An' I whispered: "Lord, I wanna thank you for my children.
"'Cause your innocence that fills them often takes me by surprise."
Like: "Daddy, when we get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?
"Are we goin' there to visit, or are we goin' there to stay?
"Am I gonna see my Grandpa? Can I have a pair of wings?
"An' do you think that God could use another Angel,
"To help pour out the rain?"
Well, I thought about it later on,
An' a smile came to my face.
An' when I tucked her in to bed,
I got down on my knees an' prayed.
Lord, when I get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?
"I don't wanna come to visit 'cause I'm comin' home to stay?
"An' I can't wait to see my family and meet Jesus face to face.
"An' do you think, Lord, you could use just one more Angel,
"To help pour out the rain?"
Mmmm, can I help pour out the rain?
