I was going to mention the paintings, but once I got going on the review I forgot. I did like the paintings too.

I enjoyed reading your review.

Looks like I have my Potter work cut out for me, as yesterday was when I really met him.

You can see my comments on the LAZAREVIC (ooops, was it PAUL Lazarevic, my mind just slipped, wand, please) review if you like.

Actually, I have been doing too many comments and not enough reviews.

But sometimes a few comments that nobody has mentioned before are better than doing yet another full review.

You don't get read, I guess, that way. I think there should be an INDEX of YOUR COMMENTS, not just your original reviews. Plus, that would tell which other things you have decided to write about.

ONE THING, if you can answer with some conjection :

Why, oh why doesn't anyone comment on the amazing stairwell with the paintings that talk. The walls are covered with them and the go down floor after floor in one shot. I thought that was exciting.

Maybe because it's obvious that a computer helped out big time with the artwork getting done.

All the better, I say. Almost like magic for real to us mere humans. It worked out nice with the millions (actually millions) of doors in the warehouse in "Monsters, Inc." -- maybe we automatically shy away from computer graphics in movies that way-out and hands-down are not human. They can't be related to somehow; we need the graphics to be going along with organisms, humans, or some other sort of life form.

Obbiously, those walls with the moving oil-paint portraits could not have been wrapped around the big stairwell just by some humans drawing and painting them the way the early animated cartoon artists worked.

Almost like, you might as well have a computer watch it, then, too.

I LOVED the oil-painted graphics.

See ya,

It was mainly the few explanations that weren't given that I think really needed to be in there. Some important ones were left out. I'm just wondering what they will do about some of them for the next movie.

I agree, the movie was great, but I also was a little disapointed with the details that were left out. If someone had never read the books, they probably wouldn't notice, but if they had they may leave the theatre scratching their heads.

Just wanted to let you know that this was a fantastic review (well I guess you already know that...). Actually I'd clicked on the MH button but unfortunately I'd already rated a review of this film MH and couldn't do yours as well. :-( (But whatever the rules say, I think this is MH too!!)
