and I think you mean those who don't remember the revelation from "Buffalo '66".
Having finally seen the movie, I agree with you that the first hour coulda/shoulda been discarded (except for a briefer version of the scene of stopping to see Daisy's mother (and father?)).

As apparent as the movie is with Gallo's self-indulgence it really didn't detract at all from my appreciation. In fact, I think I liked this more than what was warranted but great stuff. Good job.

After the whole Ebert controversy, I figured there was no reason to see The Brown Bunny. But, after the cuts, Ebert gave it a pretty good endorsement and he and Gallo even made up on Stern so I may end up checking it out.
