I really felt very boring while watching this movie. I watched it for Adam Sandler but he seemed less amusing in this movie, where he didn't get much chance to display his witty action skills. Though this movie has enough comedy, it is not enough for me, at least in Sandler's movie.

Plot

A woman comes from Mexico to the United States of America with her daughter. The mother, Flor Moreno, gets a job as a maid in the house of a very successful chef John Clasky. His wife, Deborah, their two children and his mother-in-law reside at the house. Flor can not speak English perfectly but she tries her best to help the Clasky family in everything.
She is forced to live with the family for the summer and this forces her to bring her daughter, Christina along with her. Much to Flor's disliking, Deborah treats Flor's daughter with a very much love where as hurting her own daughter and Flor. John gets problems in fulfilling his dreams but he manages to get out of them with the help of the love shown by his children and also with the help of Flor. Flor learns English language perfectly and breaks the communication gap. Christina who earlier used to be the translator has to learn in the end that things come and go in life, but family is the most important thing a person can have.

My Opinion

I liked this movie in bits and pieces. I can not watch this movie continuously as I have watched it earlier. The main drawback of the movie is it's duration which is very much more than normal movies. I would have loved if I have seen much of Sandler's funny liners. The scenes in which Flor tries to learn English provoke laughter. It is a very average movie.
