About Me: Ran over a grandma, punched a kid, and still diden't get a PS3. (just kidding.)

Batman is build back from the ground up, and it brings with it much improvment

Pros:it's a great movie
Cons:the villians are a bit lame though
The Bottom Line: the best part of this movie, no Adam West.

When I was in the big city today I notice that Batman begins was starting today in the theater so I decide to go in. Now I liked the original movie a lot, but all the others between them have been mediocre at best, and were better off has fertilizer at worst. Now a new Batman movie is out so how does it fair.

Story.
The first part of the story flash between Bruce Wayne’s life has a trouble adult, and Bruce Wayne’s life has a kid. Has a kid we see Bruce fall into a cave and be attack by bats, his father climbs down and rescues him. He then cheers Bruce up by saying we fall so we can learn to pick ourselves up. A cheered up Bruce follows his parents to a theater in Gothem. We learn on the train ride that Bruces father is a doctor and has become rich off developing stuff to help people. Gothem is in a depression so to help Mr. Wayne has build a sub way so people can have free transportation to there jobs and it connects to Wayne tech in the central part of the city. While in the theater Bruce sees some of the stunts of the actors and has flash backs of the bats and has a panic attack. His father decides to leave and that is when there robbed and killed.

Bruce the young man is a trouble man who when the killer gets paroled attempts to kill him at the press conference. But the man is killed before Bruce can strike and it turns out that crime lords have taken over the city so he decides to take a trip around the world to study the criminal ways. In one adventure he is invited to be train by Raich Al Goul a leader of an organization called the Shadows. He is trained by them and learns there ninja and stealth skills. But when he learns that the Shadows sense of justice is to play judge, jury, and executioner on a world wide level. Bruce rebels and destroys the temple and kills everybody but one man.

He returns to Gothem to find that his father company has turn to weapon making, that crime has gotten worse with corruption all over the government has well. He decides that has a man he can be destroyed but has a symbol he will be invincible. Add in some high tech cape and cowl and you know the rest of the story. Meanwhile a psychopath named Scarecrow has developed a new drug that makes people hallucinate and has been dumping it into Gothems water supply.

Pros.
There’s a lot to like about this movie. First rather then Gothem being some set made out of card board buildings, Gothem is the city of Chicago with buildings and signs changed to make it fit the comic book theme of the movie. It makes Gothem seem like a real place and not something out of a cartoon.

But that’s not what makes the movie so great. Unlike most Batman movies and TV show which cater to the cape and cowl, and have Bruce Wayne on just in the beginning and in the end. This one Bruce Wayne is the main character and Batman is the costar. The story focuses on Bruce Wayne in 3 stages of his life. You have Bruce the happy child and we learn who is parents where and what Bruces legacy in a way that has never been described in any of the TV series or movies. We have Bruce has a young man who is willing to kill for revenge. And then we have Bruce becoming Batman.
Batman is scary in this movie no longer a man in tights he journeys on over the edge and a few of the things he does to interrogate the bad guys, like making one a human yo-yo makes him almost psychotic in a way.

Cons.
The cons in the movie come from the bad guy. Scare Crow is pretty lame in a lot of ways has he brings no menace to the movie. And he is quickly and easily knocked off near the end has well as the real villain in the movie finally steps forward. The 2nd one comes off in Raich, he’s a lot better then Scarecrow. But when you compare him to the cartoon series in which he is an immortal sociopath, and this one he is merely human he was a bit of a disappointment. That said all though he isn’t has powerful or has cool once you learn his grand scheme in the movie he does become treating and he keeps the movie going, even when the Scarecrow falls short.

Final Recommendation.
Forget the Batman movies of the 90’s if your looking for a good comic book movie this week then this is the movie to go see.
