I saw this on my daughter's birthday (July 18th). I had been wanting to see it because the words Tim Burton and Johnny Depp put together sound like good making for a movie that I'd want to sit through. I am so glad I went. It was just basically an updated version of the old classic, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Everything in this movie kept my eyes peeled. This is one I will so definatly own. There is no violence ( unless you considered WWATCF violent). There is no foul language. No nudity. No vulgarities of any kind. Nowadays, it's hard for me to find a children's movie that my 8 year old daughter can watch without some kind of underlying adult content. Although this movie is extrememly suitable for young children, my friends and I , who have seen it, find it remarkably witty and visually stimulating. Come on, we are talking about Tim Burton here. Not to mention the fact that Johnny Depp can always put on a performance like nobodies business.
