Yeah, doesn't make a lot of sense, but I enjoy the show so much, I kinda looked the other way. I still say Sloan is up to something and hasn't reformed. Maybe one day we'll find out if I'm right.

For what it's worth, I thought putting Sloan in charge of a secret unit within the CIA - with his old colleagues/enemies under his authority - was utterly insane. Poisoned my "suspension of disbelief." It got even worse when someone - I think the new Director of the CIA? - told Jack Bristow something along the lines of, "I said you could keep an eye on him for suspicious behavior, but I never meant you could place any illegal wiretaps on him!" Or words to that effect. I was shaking my head and muttering, "Lady, just how utterly clueless can you possibly get? Or are you deliberately being hypocritical just in case an audiotape of this conversation ever gets played back for the entertainment of a Congressional committee?"
