Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
Ah! My Goddess is one of those anime that comes around and sticks with anyone and everyone who watches it. The artwork for the series is beautifully done. There are few anime that have artwork that to me is remarkable, Ah! My Goddess is one of them. The characters have a angular look to them, but in my opinion it adds to the series. To me very few styles compare to that of this anime series. The series started out as a popular manga series that made the leap into anime series, movie and OVAs.
The series revolves around a young student: Keiichi. Keiichi manages to call the Goddess Helpline while trying to order take-out. Thus enters Belldandy the goddess sent to grant his wish, which happens to be that she stay with him. From this point onthe series is full of comedic and touching events between not only these two characters but others as well. Belldandy lives with Keiichi, so he must figure out how to explain this to his classmates who view him as living with a woman, so mature.
With the help of Belldandy Keiichi moves into his own place and things begin to get crowded when her relatives move into the place with him. Much of the story revolves around Keiichi being unable to tell her how he truely feels. While there are points when the show is "harem like" it does stay away from fan service. Meaning there are no panty shots or anything of that sort.
The opening and closing themes are very catchy and easy to spot when you hear them again. The voice acting is very well done as well. Ah! My Goddess is a fun and entertaining anime that should not be missed. Anime fans would enjoy this anime.
