I know what you mean. She had made several movies before The Mask of Zorro, but that was the one that really launched her over here.
I do think this is a fun, entertaining movie. It just could have been better. :)
I hope you and your kids do like it if you watch it sometime.

This probably isn't for everyone. I do think the first one was better. But I was still entertained. Catherine was good in this. If you did decide to see it, a maintnee would probably be best.

a time when Zeta-Jones wasn't well known! I didn't see The Mask of Zorro, so maybe when the kids are a little older I can see this one with them and not be disappointed at the change in tone.
Good review - at least you weren't too disappointed in the movie!

I keep hearing such mixed reviews on this one. Don't want to waste my money on a mediocre flick, but just might have to go and judge it for myself...

I could actually hear stuff from Saw 2 when I was walking by that theater to get to Zorro - and the doors were closed.
