I went to see this movie because I figured since I saw the first two, I may as well find out what happens in the third.
In the last movie, Jean Gray (One of the x-men) died,, well,, in this one, she is resurrected because of the mutant power she possessed, but instead of being nice, she turns evil,, VERY evil and becomes about the strongest of all mutants. I can't go into a lot of detail because if I put too much in, I'll spoil the movie for those who still want to go see it.
In this movie, scientists discovered a cure for the mutant gene. It's derived from a boy who has a power to block other mutants powers. Magnito (The leader of the evil mutants) doesn't want the cure because he wants a mutant revolution, plus he likes his uniqueness and power. So, it's up to the x men to stop the evil guys so a cure can be used for those who wish to be cured of the mutant thing.
The special effects and fight scenes were really cool. If you like cool effects, then you'll probably enjoy this movie. I don't want to give too much detail because it'll ruin the plot, but you'll really enjoy the Golden Gate bridge thing. What I really liked was how they made it so "cartoon-like" when the xmen used their powers. Jean Grey's massive attacks were the best.
The cast of the movie are Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Halle Berry is Storm, and Kelsey Grammer as Beast. The acting in the beginning was ok, Patrick Stewart was the best in the movie. The rest really seemed very fake. Kelsey Grammer did an awesome job as Beast. I'd recommend the movie if there were more scenes with the two of them in it. Hugh Jackman did good also. The others seemed like they just weren't really into their roles this time around.
What I also didn't like about the movie is the outcome of some of the key characters. The other thing I didn't like was that in the other two movies, you could see and almost feel the tight bond between the x men. This one didn't have that. It seemed like the actors would have rather been doing another movie.
