My Nephew Loves His Nalgene Everyday™ Grip-N-Gulp Water Bottle

Pros:Simply great.
Cons:None.
The Bottom Line: Read and be informed.

I have been using Nalgene for many years and hoping my nephew will use Nalgene Water Bottles still aftet he out grows this one especially since he has a love for nature that is simply something I hope he does not out grow.

Why It Is Appreciated So Highly

Well, my nephew claims or actions rather says I love that it does not spill and I can see if I still have drink in my bottle or do not have drink in my bottle. On my side of the spectrum of appreciation is being BPA-Free, the usefulness of the Nalgene Sipper Valve™ which this feature has translated into significantly fewer messes to clean up and much less waste of juice or other drinks. I enjoy that much like other Nalgene Bottles, this awesome little Nalgene Bottle for young kids has the measurements on it so it makes my nephew's mom happier since she can easily get the juice and water ratio more accurately as well as being quicker without using a measuring cup or eye balling it.

Weight

This water bottle weighs approximately 4.3 ounces so when filled up it will weigh more than a pound.

Color, Design, and Size Options

The colors you may buy is purple, pink, spring blue, and slate blue.

There is design to choose from and are called cars, hoot, seashore, wheels, and woodland.

These are sold only in the 12 ounce size (as far as I am aware).

MSRP

The manufacturer's suggested retail price is $9.25 and is a reasonable full retail cost for what you get in return.

Measurement Markings

The measurements for the side of the bottle indicates the liquid volume in milliliters and ounces.

Durability

So far it has been amazing in terms of taking a beating and remaining intact. The most impressive stunt my nephew did to this was throwing and slamming the water bottle on some big stones and only minor scratches to the Nalgene children's water bottle. This could be as durable as Lexan® or polycarbonate (plastics that leached BPA), but minus harmful chemicals (leaching into water, drinks, and food). (BPA is simply a chemical to "glue" or "fuse" plastic polymers together, much like epoxy glues which require mixing such as JB Weld.) I do not have enough experience with this particular plastic Tritan™ to say it is durable as or more durable than GE's Lexan® at this point in time as a definitive yes or no; however, with the drama impact my nephew has inflicted on this water bottle this is probably as durable as Lexan®.

Disclaimer

Do not place or use in microwaves or ovens for your safety. Plastic will lose durability from high heat in ovens and the radiation in microwaves is just as troublesome.

Recommendation

Yes, I most definitely and highly recommend the Nalgene Everyday™ Grip-N-Gulp Water Bottle for safety and durability that is BPA-Free and for happier kids and moms from reduced number of spills.

Final Thoughts

This makes an excellent gift that easily is a noteworthy item for giving to a child as this is a gift that gives back as a time saver for parents and/or caregivers with busy schedules
