I like that the super zooms are really taking performance seriously. The long zoom range is a compelling reason to own a compact camera these days when smartphone cams can do so well. I think the zoom is something consumers can understand that makes a real camera superior to the phone cam. It's so much harder to sell micron size, sensor size, image processing algorithms and other technology to folks who believe the phone cam is "just as good" as a real camera. Good job.
