Pros: video streaming, touch screen, multiple scene modes, multiple white balance modes, multiple digital zoom, sleek
Cons: Low memory compared to other Nokia smart phones
When I bought this phone earlier this year, I was oblivious of its tremendous advantages and unique features owing largely due to the fact that I was already familiar with most Nokia smart phones. The Nokia Lumia 710 represents a brand new innovation in the mobile phone industry. From the sleek design to its wide application ranging from photography and data network to scene modes and graphic formats.
This phone is very convenient in terms of portability as it fits perfectly into my pocket due to its unique design and dimensions. It has a height of 119.0mm, a width of 62.4mm and a thickness of just 12.7mm. I am particularly intrigued by the ambient light detection feature and the proximity sensor which gives the relative distance between the phone and a close object.
With this phone, I am able to connect to the Internet via HSUPA, WLAN, GPRS, WCDMA, HSDPA and EDGE. These six data transfer modes makes it almost impossible for me not to connect to the Internet no matter where I am stationed!
Nokia Lumia has features such as Bing maps that helps me locate any place in the world by very few clicks especially if I am looking for a specific information while studying or surfing. It has a micro SIM which makes data storage for me very convenient. The phone has a WLAN security system for data encryption and that makes my surfing over the net very safe and secure. With a calculator, calendar, notes and alarm clock, I organize my schedules without much hassle. My Nokia Lumia710 is indeed my dependable companion! Its Software is automatically updated via firmware over the Internet feature (FOTI) as I can send multiple messages via email using the Nokia email and email exchange. Moreover, I am able to use HTML format in sending my mails and can also edit attachments to my mail flawlessly.
In terms of the inbuilt features that guarantee maximum value deliverability, the battery life can last up to 7 hours when I use the 3G talk time. Photography remains one very vital phone application which Nokia Lumia is known for. The camera lens has a touch focus and an auto and manual white balance. I use the various scene modes- landscape, automatic, sports, night and portrait to take pictures and photographs. The capture modes of this phone’s camera are video and still. I equally use the white balance modes –cloudy, incandescent, fluorescent, day light and automatic for taking photographs at any time of the day under any weather condition. Amazingly, the multiple digital zoom helps me to take pictures of very distant objects. This is enhanced by the main camera sensor with a size of 5.0 mega pixels and my pictures usually come out in various graphic formats such as JPEG, BMP, WMF or TIFF.
I can play FM radio, record audio sounds, play music and perform audio streaming with this phone. I can equally record video images, share my video with friends, play video and also perform video streaming.
It is incoporated with facebook, twitter and linkedIn.I can equally chat and use the SMS feature. For internet connectivity, I use explorer9. It a;lso has wi-fi, and HTML5 witha high definition video and an LED flash
