The TI-30X IIS calculator has been a great tool for me this year. It has helped me with classwork, homework, and on tests in solving advanced math such as quadratic equations and inequalities. It has many great features that once you know how to use, it becomes a breeze to operate and solve math problems quickly.
The features & functions include:
-square root button
-x^2 button
-Fraction to Decimal/Decimal to Fraction button
-Scientific Notation mode
-Pi button
-Ability to go back and see previous equations, as well as reset and delete all history
-Comes with a matching cover to protect the keys from being smashed in your pocket or in your bag
-Very thin and light, can be easily taken with you anywhere
-Stylish, comes in colors such as blue, pink, green, and black
-Large keys to type lengthy equations quickly
However, there are a few pitfalls with this calculator.
-Screen could be brighter, can be hard to read sometimes esp. in sunlight
-For beginners just learning more difficult functions, all the different buttons and abbreviations can be overwhelming
-Numbers and letters can scratch off if you're using in frequently and it's being tossed around in bookbags or purses
Overall, this calculator has been helpful to me on many occasions. It's an excellent choice for high school and college students.
