An overworked shredder

Pros:Good for light duty use only. Not recommended for medium to heavy office use.
Cons:Shredding five to ten sheets a day, the machine just gave out.
The Bottom Line: Some personnel in an office environment forget to remove staples and paper clips. This machine did not hold up to the occasional staple let alone those darn paper clips.
In my opinion, this machine was purchased for our office without any input from our staff. Needless to say the machine was to small for our application. I was amazed it lasted this long. This seemed to be a great deal for an occasional use shredder. I would recommend it for a small office application where shredding a small stack of pages could be expected every once in a while.
I would suggest that a label be placed on the front of the machine to remind personnel using the machine to remove staples and paper clips.
We also encountered emptying the basket to be quite a mess. Small office trash bags seem to be to small to collect the confetti and the large bags are to cumbersome. This is a two person operation. Suggest creating a collection system that would allow small trash bags to be placed inside the catch bin without hindering the operation of the shredder.
