Note:  While I personally have not been afflicted with this particular medical blight; many of my students, as well as myself, have lost loved ones to the scourge. I lost a beloved family member, my cousin who was my age and a life long friend succumbed to the awful disease a decade ago and I miss her very dearly. 

I wear pink, I think pink and support the organizations creating products designed to heighten awareness of the public to the misery.  I will purchase pink items to give to others to help further interest and knowledge for this awful scourge.  And will buy one more of items I already have just to let the manufacturer know that there are those of us out here who will and do buy pink items in an effort to further the cause.

Osage County First Grade likes having a set of Kids’ tools to use in the classroom.  Over the years I have designated an area, and tools for Little Learner use.  Now that there are so many Breast Cancer Pink office tools available I have introduced a whole flock of pink items for Little Learners to use.  Now there is no more asking –is this the kids punch or the kids stapler; if it is pink it is kids to use.  AND the pink tint is always easier to locate in the classroom.


 This Breast Cancer Awareness, Three Hole Punch is dedicated to fighting breast cancer.  The machine’s inimitable pink ribbon and pink background found on the activation pedal is quickly recognized by Osage County First Grade as Breast Cancer Awareness, nearly each child has a relative, neighbor or knows of someone who has Breast Cancer, has had treatment for Breast Cancer, has died of the scourge. 

I like that this hole punch is prepared with antimicrobial protection; I’m not sure how long lasting the protection might be, but it is nice to know that the company is at least doing something to help protect children from germs.

A characteristic pink  Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon, hinged Chip tray, a window to keep user aware of chip build up, 3 punch heads drill the 9/32 inch holes down and through the paper and a share of the proceeds received from sale of these hole punches will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation make this particular device extra special for our classroom.  I find the mechanism is simple for Little Learners to use, because the holes are set in a predetermined pattern to fit the 3 hole binder each child carries to and from school trying to create holes in paper and having the paper fit the closing mechanism of the binder is greatly simplified. 

The punch is not so heavy that it is difficult for Little Learners to carry to table to use, nor is it so small as to be easily set aside and forgotten to remain hidden for days as are small single hole punches.

I can use a one hole or three hole punch and the holes will line up without difficulty; the task is much more difficult for Little Learners.

I can see use for Breast Cancer Awareness 12 page hole punch for home, home office, business office and classroom.  While I do use a larger punch capable of punching more pages than 12, Little Learners can punch 5 or so pages now and then to assure a page or two will fit the take home binder for sharing work of the day with parents. Convenient for small home or business office setting, as well as the classroom, an attractive 3 hole punch sure beats a small 1 hole punch when several papers need to be punched.
