rbau's Full Review: Garmin eTrex Legend Handheld GPS Receiver
I've had this GPS for about 3 years and it was the first one I have ever owned. I picked up a refurb unit for less than $150 and after a little reading and time with the unit I was able to use it pretty quickly. I use it equally between my boat and in the car and have pushed it to the limit. Since charge battery use (10.5 hours on rechargeable AA's) and memory (600 mile trip that is saved as a track).
Of course, I would like a larger screen, color display, and more bells and whistles. But, this is a great handheld GPS and I will likely buy another similar size unit from Garmin when this one punches out.
