I am so jealous that you got to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It will have to wait for another lifetime for me but I am envious of that experience. Good for you. Can't imagine anything coming close to that (except Sedona, parts of Yellowstone...well a few more reviews to write!)Thanks for r/r/c. jo

No wonder (Reply to this comment)

the boundaries in my memory of Petrified Forest and Painted Desert are blurred! (What I remember acutely was the pain of walking even slighly downhill there just after having hiked down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon--and back up, though it was the downhill muscles that then protested any further use of them.) In late November, there were very few other visitors around.

The gentle rub sounds nice right now, Phil:) Thanks for r/r/c.
My daughter went to her 5th (actually 6th because the class couldn't count) reunion. She graduated with the daughter of a couple with whom I graduated. They couldn't find me for our 35th reunion last year so she asked me if she could give them my new address for our 40th reunion. I said yes but tried not to listen to the numbers. Still, though, getting painted even at this ripe old age is nice. jo

I remember doing this same park but that was... (Reply to this comment)

...almost thirty years ago. Savannah's comment about getting old fast was on the money. I felt the same way about Death Valley National Park. Too hot and too expansive an area, especially in the summer.
Thanks for another fine review. Were the paints water color and do they come off easily or must it be gently rubbed to clean off your body?

LOL well it's only taken me 900 reviews to figure out that maybe the title will get people to read what I spend 3 hours writing:) Really - not travel reviews so much but fitness reviews - that's where I have to be super creative with my titles. Thanks so much for r/r/c..appreciated. jo

Savannah, I'm glad I sort of added that at the end though I found that if I really looked at the logs I was intriqued rather than bored. But I can understand the feeling. Thanks for r/r/c..jo

I actually visited here many years ago. While I found it pretty interesting, it became tiresome very quickly.
Nice Review!
